Intercessions July 6th
(Remember those, O Lord, who in your peace have died, yet may not gain love’s high reward till love is purified!
With you they faced death’s night, sealed with your vic’try sign,
soon may the splendour of your light on them forever shine.)
Let’s pray for Pope Francis, and for the bishops and leaders of all the churches :
may they and we be steadfast in faith, prophetic in hope, and generous in love.
Lord, hear us
We pray for peace throughout the world, especially in the Holy Land, Gaza, and Ukraine –
and for the conversion of those who advocate war or malice of any kind.
Lord, hear us
We pray for sick people among our families and our friends, in the local Hospice and in our parish
– including Mary Havana, Francis McColl, Clark Dunlop, Kirsty Macdonald, Eileen McLean, Caroline Mills, Yvonne Watt and Maureen McKean.
Lord, hear us
We pray for our deceased sisters and brothers including: Moira Doyle, Hugh O’Donnell, Joseph Fitzpatrick, Marie McColl, Catherine Bell, Catherine Howie, David Ball; And, for those whose anniversaries fall about now: Tom Ryan, Josephine Smith, Catherine Smith, Michael McGhee, E lie Steele, Michael Cara, Mary McKenna, and Margaret McCafferty.
Lord, hear us
