St Leo’s community thanks the local Muslim community for the gift of chocolates as they mark the end of Ramadan.
The chocolates will be shared after the 10.30 Sunday Mass.

For Pope Francis, our Archbishop Philip, the leaders and people of our local Christian communities,
and for the local Muslim people as they celebrate the end of their holy season. Lord, hear us
We pray for the well-being of our country and for the European Union.
We pray also that our MPs will be guided towards the abolition of all nuclear weapons
as they debate the issue of Trident’s renewal on Monday. Lord, hear us.
For people who live in any kind of distress, especially refugees, those who suffer from violence or war,
and all victims of religious persecution. Lord, hear us.
For all who bear the cross of ill health, especially the housebound and the terminally ill and their families:

Lord, hear us
For our deceased relatives, friends and fellow-parishioners, including those killed by acts of terror
in Nice and in the Middle East, all affected by the attempted coup in Turkey,
and all those whose anniversary falls about, including Mary McKenna.
We also pray for those who have been injured or killed while serving the community in the armed forces.
Lord, hear us .

We pray for those who witnessed and for the families of all those affected.
We pray for the people of Turkey: for all who died in the attempted coup And all who have been scarred by the events.
Father, may your healing come upon the Brokenness of our world and may we learn from our mistakes
And turn to your mercy and compassion through Christ our Lord.

This 30 minute programme repeats every half hour until 12.00.
At Noon the Scottish Catholic Observer gives us 15 minutes of news.
and at 12.15 there is a little service for those who are bereaved,
And at 12.30 the archive takes over until 6.00 when the session from 12.00 to 12.30 is repeated.
