Next Saturday is the Feast of the Assumption – a day of devotion. Christian – accessible daily on the internet  August 9th


Morning Prayer every 30 minutes from 8.15 – 11.45 from schools is given this week by Our Lady of the Missions Primary School, and begins with ‘Blessed are the poor in spirit’. The final prayers concludes ‘help us fill our day with blessings.’

Adult Morning Prayer – every 30 minutes from 8.00 – 11.30 – is led by Jean Swinbank comes with music from the St Mungo Singers, cantor Grace Buckley with Psalm 83 (How lovely is your dwelling place) and harpist Noel Donnelly.

A music choice from ‘The Sixteen’ – ‘A Mother’s Love’ – from the story of Mary, the mother of Jesus: Tota Pulchra Es – by Bruckner.


A short service ‘How blest are those’ for those who mourn takes place at 12.00 noon and at 6.00 pm


Evening Prayer is at 8.00 and 9.00 in the evening;

there is a Magazine program at 8.20 and 9.20p.m. Our short magazine program this week comes from ‘Flourish’ the monthly of the Archdiocese of Glasgow, and gives an account of the beginnings of ‘Mary’s Meals’. It continues with music from St Aloysius College, Glasgow.


Night Prayer, led by Joe Docherty, is at 8.50 and 9.50 p.m.
