Intercessions

  • Pope Francis sent his representative to Davos last week to ask the political and business leaders of the world to think more of the common good, and to beware of competitive vying for power and wealth.   As our country prepares to leave the European Union, we pray that  our leaders  may realise that for us to prosper – so do our neighbours and trading partners.
  • Lord, hear us.
  • We pray that the leaders of the church and of all the faith communities may work more effectively to influence public opinion.
    Lord Hear us
  • We pray that we may be doers of the word – as well as listeners and speakers of the word.
  • Lord Hear us
  • We pray for all schools, that they may help young people to grow in faith, and in understanding of the dignity of all human beings.
    Lord Hear us

We pray for the sick and for the housebound, for those being treated in the local Hospice, and for who support them.
Lord Hear us

  • We pray for those who have died recently including Rae Fagin, Jerry Connor, Una Cassidy, Mary Murphy,  Charlie Harkins, Ellen Cairns, Tom Divers, John Ramsay, Helena McTeague, Paddy Gilbride and Dr Eamonn McCabe.
