Intercessions 21st Jan

In this Week of Prayer for Christian Unity we pray for the local churches,
we ask the Lord to help us cleanse our historical memories of wrong-doing among the churches,
to help us to look at each other with generosity,
and to work and pray for the full unity for which Christ prayed.   Lord, hear us:

We pray for a change of heart in people and governments who treat human beings unjustly, who make money out of human distress and suffering,
or who profit from the sale of arms.  We pray for all victims of violence.  Lord, hear us

We pray for all who are badly affected by weather at present or by climate-change.  Lord, hear us
