Vocations Sunday 2012
We need to pray for vocations for the priesthood and the religious life,
so that we may all receive the support through them that we need in our Christian lives.
a prayer for today:
Loving God, you speak to us and nouirish us
Through the life of your Church.
Continue to raise up in that Church
priests and religious
who will lead with courage and serve with love.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.

That we may come to know Jesus in the breaking of the Bread and the sharing of the
scriptures so that we may be able to live up to the Gospel in our daily lives: Lord, hear us
For children and their families in the parish, and in the archdiocese, who
are preparing for First Communion: Lord, hear us . . . . .
For peace throughout the world, and for a strengthening of the United Nations in
its ability to defuse international problems. For the people of the Sudans.
Lord, hear us
For our Earth: God has made us stewards of his creation.
May we live responsibly, respecting and protecting all that he has made,
and sharing the gifts of creation with
satisfaction and joy.
