in giving attention to God, our own needs and our neighbours.

success of the World Day of Prayer in Kinning Park Parish Church
next Friday.

For peace throughout the world, especially in Syria,
and the rest of the Middle East and Africa; for economic stability everywhere,
that those who live in anxiety, poverty and hunger may be given a fairer share of the world’s resources.

Catholic Education Sunday
For our parish: that we may value education, knowledge and
understanding, not only for the young but for ourselves too.
Lord, hear us
That all who are involved in education, whether it be as
pupils or students, or parents or staff, may be enriched in everyway by the
process. Lord, hear us
For those whose lives are made difficult by poverty, hunger
and the lack of resources, particularly to educate the young.
Lord, hear us
For peace throughout the world, especially in Syria,

Intercessions
For the Church: that we may be like Mary, treasuring God’s words and deeds in our hearts,
and may be encouraged by them in our daily lives.
Lord, hear us us
For a deeper awareness of the Spirit in our lives: that we may realise that we
actually are children of God & live in freedom and friendship with God.
Lord, hear us
For God’s blessing on our families, our friends, our parish and neighbouring
parishes in the New Year: that God will bless us with health of body, mind, and
spirit; and renew the gifts of the Spirit within us so that we may build up the
Christian community, and promote the common good.

For peace throughout the world, especially in the Middle
