Intercessions As the reader lights our Peace Candle, we pray together:

We pray for peace in the Middle East, the Ukraine and  throughout the world,
for people everywhere whose lives are victimised by violence and war.   Lord, hear us.

At the start of Lent, we pray for Pope Francis, the bishops, the leaders of all Christian churches, and all of God’s Christian people
— may we support each other in renewing our faith, hope and love. Lord, hear us . . . . . . .

We pray for people of faith throughout the world, and for all who seek integrity and honesty of life,  whatever their belief.   Lord,  hear us .

We pray the churches in Scotland as we prepare to celebrate the 4th centenary of St John Ogilvie.  May people everywhere enjoy the  liberty of faith that we have, and may we participate in public life so that it may be maintained. Lord, hear us
